I wanted to show you a new card I've made.  I just love Tilda!!!  She's so cute!

I'm still practicing with the Copic markers.  I think I just need to take a class to learn all the basic techniques!  I really do love these markers, though ~ so fun to be able to blend easily!

I used Distress Ink and the blending tool to "dirty up" the edges, rick rack, lace, image panel, and ticket.  I'm working on trying to incorporate more techniques into a single card, too.
This was a fun card to make!  Hope you enjoy her!

This post is for the "R Is for a Riley Recipe" Challenge over at Riley & Company.  The card had to include Riley, red, ribbon (I used twine), and rhinestones.  I love this little moose!!

I know this is a repost of a card I posted last week, but I wanted to post again as I'm entering my very first challenge.

Wowzers ~ it's been ages since I last posted!  Lots going on to distract me over the past month or so!
I HAVE devoted some time to make some cards though.  Hope you enjoy looking at them!

This is one of my first attempts with using Copic markers.  They're going to take some getting used to, but I do love coloring with them!  I used the Ribbon Tilda stamp (think she's actually from a past Christmas collection).  Isn't she just the cutest?

Thought this cute little mouse couple was perfect for this anniversary card sent to celebrate the 51st anniversary of my friend and her husband.  This image was colored with Prismacolor/gamsol.

I was busy making graduation cards during May and June.  I stuck with the same design for all of them ~ just tried to find DP's that matched each person's school colors for their card.  The grad images are Gilli designs ~ aren't they cute?

The last card I have to share is one I made for my friend's husband.  He likes cars and goes to car shows, so I thought this was perfect for him!  Isn't Riley cute in his little red convertible??!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Stay cool and enjoy the summer weather!!

June 9, 2011

It's been quite a while again since I posted.  Guess I've just been busy with lots of "summer" things ~ planting, weeding, just getting outside!
I've made a couple more cards and colored a few more images, and I've also been trying to learn some new techniques by surfing from blog to blog and looking at all the tutorials.
One thing that's been taking up my time is learning to use my new Gypsy!!!  I've watched several videos about it, read the manual from cover to cover, etc.  Still not feeling totally comfortable with it, but at least I can do a little with it.  I made the first card below using it ~ totally lifted from the "Creations With Christina" blog.  She has a video that guides you through the creation of this card.  I loved the card when I saw it on the blog, though, and it's a perfect one for me right now ~ my daughter-in-law just secured her first teaching job on Tuesday, so I made her a "Congratulations" card.

Isn't it cute??  I just wrote a note of congratulations inside, made an envelope for it, and it's ready to pop in the mail today.  It was a great way to learn to use my Gypsy!  If you've never been to that blog, you should make a point to visit it.  It's WONDERFUL!!!  She has so many videos with directions for making cards, layouts, etc., and they're all very easy to follow and understand ~ I've learned SOOOOO much from her!  This blog is wonderful for a newbie like me!!!!  I think Provocraft should be paying her or at least giving her free machines because she does so much advertising for them by teaching people how to use the PC products!!  Thank you, Christina!!!

This card was made with a Stampendous stamp ~ House Mouse, I think.  I gave the sunburst technique a try on this one, and I love the way it turned out!  Colored with Prismacolors.  Also used some Bo Bunny brads and some ribbon to dress it up a bit.

And finally, a Riley the Moose card.  I went to a scrapbooking convention in Columbus, OH, a couple of months ago, and I got my first taste of Riley stamps there.  He's so cute, and I like the fact that he's easy to color.  Used some brads, ribbon, dry embossing, and stickles to finish this one off.  I also made the matching envelope.

Have a great day and a relaxing weekend!

May 26, 2011

Gosh, it's been a long time since I posted!  I've been busy making cards, and I just haven't taken the time to take pictures and upload them.

I've colored all but one of my cards with Prismacolors and gamsol.  I've tried to use a variety of embellishments, attempted machine-stitching for the first time ever, and used a variety of different stamps.  It seems like it takes me forever to get an idea right in my head before I attempt to create a card!  I color almost every day, but then the images all sit waiting for me to figure out exactly how I want the card to look.  Right now I have 4 more images waiting to go on a card!

Thanks for taking a look at what I've been working on!

Graduation card for a former student ~ I used a Die-namics die for this one.

                                                                         Another Gilli

Inky Impressions stamp

I used a digital stamp for this one.

I used another digital stamp for this card.

I made this card with my new Cricut Expression 2 and the Florals Embelllished cartridge.

I also made this with the Cricut E2 ~ I forget which cartridge I used (maybe Nate's ABC's???).
