I have 5 doxies, so this is a perfect image for me! The image is one of the new Candy Bean images from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps ~ it's called "Winter Walkies". I just LOVE it! She was colored with Copic markers. The papers are from my stash, and I used my Bow-It-All to create the bow. Love that tool ~ makes bows of all kinds and sizes so easy! Thanks for looking!
It's very nontraditional for me, as I'm a red & green kinda' girl. But I really like how it turned out!

The patterned papers are from a Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder 6 x 6 pad. Love the fun papers in this collection!!
The CS is Bazzill from my LSS.
The stamp I used is Pure Innocence "Flurry of Love" from My Favorite Things.
I colored her with the following Copics:
Skin ~ E00, 11, 13; R21
Coat, Hat, Scarf, Mittens, Boots: ~ YG21, 23, 25; RV00, 02, 04, 23, 25, 29; B00, 02, 04
Snow ~ C0, 1, 2, 3

I also used some Spellbinders dies to create the image and sentiment panels, and I used a My Creative Time die to create the front scalloped circle panel. The scalloped borders were created with an EK Success punch. I also used Stickles to add some sparkle to the card. I added some buttons and baker's twine to finish off the card.

I'm going to enter this card in the current Pink By Design Non-Traditional Christmas Colors challenge.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek! I'll be back in a couple of days with another card!

Wow! Again, it's been a LONG time since my last post. I've been around, but just very busy this fall!

I've been working on Christmas cards lately, and I've got 52 done with just a few more to go. Yay! I'll be so glad to have them done and ready to pop in the mail in December.

I used an SVG Cuts file (Santa's Visit) to create 50 of one design. Here are a few pictures of that card. Lots of pieces to glue and inking/embossing to do, but I really like this card. I love all things primitive, so this is just right for me!

I used Imaginisce paper (Warmest Wishes) to create the card base. Santa's green gown was made using some papers that I had in my stash ~ they're not Christmas papers, but I thought they worked. I used some glitter paper from my LSS for the inside of the lantern, and the rest of the papers are Bazzill Smoothies. I used three different embossing folders. I had trouble with using the woodgrain folder on Santa's staff - the paper kept tearing where the raised part was, so I switched to a different folder for the majority of the cards. Santa's fur trim on his coat/hat and his beard were all done with the same folder. The edges of all the pieces were inked with CTMH chocolate ink. I used a coordinating Punkin Patch stamp to create "Believe" on the card front. The inside sentiment was created with a wood block stamp that I got in the bargain bin at Pat Catan's. I finished off the card front with a piece of twine from May Arts.

I love all the files from SVG Cuts!!! If you've never visited their store, you should definitely stop by! You'll be hooked!! Leo and Mary are so helpful if you have questions, too! And most of the kit files have a video with Mary showing you how to assemble the 3D items. Just love that site!!

Hope you're all getting your holiday cards made! Good luck with that! I'll be back in a few days with another post showing a couple of individual Christmas cards I've made.

I've been gone for a long time, but I'm back and ready to start blogging again! Just had to take a break for a while ~ you know how it goes, life gets in the way sometimes! I've been crafting a LOT during the past 6 months ~ I just haven't been blogging. I have lots to share that I've finished, so I'll try to share a little at a time.

Here is a card I'm submitting to the All That Scraps DT call. Isn't she cute? I just love her little hat, and I DO like this color combination! The image and the dies used to make the sunflowers are C.C. Designs products, which you can purchase at All That Scraps. I've used a Spellbinders die to create the frame, and the bow was made on my Bow Easy. I added Studio G glitter glue to the sunflower centers to make them sparkle! The button is from my stash, and the DP's are My Mind's Eye. Edges have been inked with Chesnut Roan chalk ink. Everything is attached to a kraft base.

Hope you're enjoying this HOT, HOT, HOT weather! I really don't like it at all, so I've pretty much stayed inside in the air conditioning! Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a break in this heat any time soon!

Hope you're having a wonderful 4th of July!!
But, as they say, better late than never!

I've had such fun creating all of my own cards this year! Here are the last several cards I sent out to family and friends. One is a Tilda, and the rest are just random images I found and liked.

All of my images were stamped on Copic X-Press It cardstock and colored with Copics.

The papers I used were Bazzill CS and Paper Studio DP (from a Season's stack). The front sentiment circle was a download, and the inside sentiment was made with a Studio G stamp. I use a Spellbinders die to create the panels and a Martha Steward punch to edge the front panel. The panels were popped up on foam tape. I also added some Stickles, inked the edges, and used some baker's twine and jingle bells to finish off the card. This card was sent to my husband's brother and his wife.

I made this card for my in-laws. I used Bazzill CS for the base and mats, and the DP is from a BoBunny stack. The NOEL was created using a stamp from the Pat Catan's dollar bin, and I used a MS corner punch to embellish the corners of the panel. The panel was popped up on foam tape. I created the poinsettia with felt ~ cut five petals by hand, then used a running stitch across the flat side of the petal and drew the thread and tied it off. Created the center with a brad and then glittered the whole poinsettia, as well as the NOEL panel, with some Shimmer mist. A few pearls completed the front. I kept the inside really simple ~ heat embossed the Christmas tree and sentiment and added a couple of pearls.

I sent this card to my husband's other brother and his fiancee. I don't even remember where I got this Santa image, but I love country so this was right up my alley. Kraft CS, buttons, twine, country papers ~ gosh, I just loved this card when I was finished with it! My DP's came from a Paper Studio Christmas stack, and the CS is Bazzill. Everything was inked with Chestnut Roan chalk ink, and Stickles gave some sparkle to the fur on Santa's coat and hat, the stars and moon, and the button. I used an EK Success punch to create the inside sentiment panel which is stamped with a Studio G punch. This card has lots of layers and was super fat!!! LOL!
I used some baker's twine, bling, white Signo pen, and Stickles to embellish the card front. The snowflakes on the card were created with my Expression, as well as the inside sentiment. For today's card, I've use one of the Tildas from the new Magnolia Christmas collection. I just love her! I'm not usually a fan of blue on a Christmas card, but I just love how this card turned out in blues and browns!!

I didn't keep track of all the colors I used. I was at a friend's house when I colored this, and I was too busy talking, I guess! :o)
I'm going to post quite a few pictures of this card. It's my first go at a trifold card, and I really had fun making it! It was easier than I thought it would be!
Enjoy!!

I used Bazzill cardstock for the base and the matting layers. The DP's were from a seasonal paper pad I bought at Hobby Lobby. The buttons, ribbon, twine, flowers, and brads were from my stash. The sentiments are stamped with Studio G stamps. I also used Studio G glitter glue in green and red to hilight the flower and inside sentiment panel. The sentiments are stamped on labels punched with an EK Success punch.

LOL!! I've been busy with work and trying to get my Christmas shopping done and card finished up. Just a couple more cards to go and I'll be ready to pop them all in the mail!

Here's a Christmas card I made. Hope you like it!

This is my first attempt at using my new Imagine! I love how you can coordinate the colors of all of your cuts so easily! I made this card using the Snow Angel and Winter Woodland cartridges, some baker's twine, a few red gems, some white ink and a snowflake stamp, and some Stickles.

See my Christmas cactus blooming on the left side of the pictures? It had tons of blooms this year! I put it outside in a shaded area all summer, never watered it (just let Mother Nature take care of that), and brought it in before the first frost. I did the same thing last year, and got tons of blooms then, too.

Back later with a post of another card I made!

I really stepped out of my comfort zone on this one! I'm a plain and simple kinda girl, so the fussiness of this card was a change.
I had purchased the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge a while back and had never taken the time to play with it ~ I decided a couple of days ago that I needed to learn how to make the flowers from that cart that everyone is using. So, I sat down and worked with them. They're really pretty easy!! I decided I'd use them on a Thanksgiving card, along with using the cartridge to make the card base, the contrasting panels, and the leaves. I LOVE this cart ~ so many pretty things to cut with it!

The flowers were sprayed with Smooch Shimmer Spray, and I added a couple of gold rhinestones for the centers. A couple of orange and gold rhinestones finish off the card.

I visited my local Walmart this morning, and they had just put out all of the new Christmas stuff from Studio G. Love it ~ quite a bargain at 97 cents each!!! Those bins will be empty within a couple of days!

Hope you have a wonderful day!

I did all of these posts today, and didn't think about the order in which they'd post. The #5 post should actually be last, so you'll have to scroll down to the #1 post and work backwards to read them in the order they were entered. Sorry!Betsyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03165742441734083579noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5195969070509349577.post-61022896580902718792011-11-02T13:04:00.000-07:002011-11-02T13:04:25.952-07:00November 2, 2011 - Post #5Gosh! This is post #5 and the last one for today! I've sure been saving these cards up for posting for a long time, huh?!

Here is the first of my special Christmas cards for this year. I've use a Tilda image from the Fall release ~ isn't she adorable???!!! I just love Tilda ~ always so sweet and innocent!

Inside

Card front: I used kraft cardstock for the card base. The red glittered paper is from my local scrapbooking store ~ really no idea what company it came from. The green paper is Bazzill smoothies. I stamped Tilda on Copic X-Press paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink. She was colored with Copics. I used a Spellbinders frame die to create the frame and punch out the image panel, then popped up the image panel on foam tape (I use Front Porch Treasures foam tape from Big Lots ~ comes in a good-sized roll and is WAY cheaper than the name brand tape). Tilda's hat band, tassel, and the candle flame got a coating of Lace Frost Stickles to make them sparkle. The heart on her sweater was coated with red Studio G glitter glue from WalMart ~ I love this stuff ~ works just like Stickles, but it's much cheaper!! I finished off the card front with some cotton lace, some twine, and a couple of buttons from my stash. I also sponged all the edges and the image panel with Chestnut Roan chalk ink.

Card inside: I used the same materials as used on the front of the card ~ even used the center of the frame that was cut for the front as a base for the inside sentiment panel. The sentiment was stamped with a stamp from the $1 bin at Pat Catan's.

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out! I'm learning to incorporate more techniques as I work, which I feel is a good thing! :o) Now, if it just didn't take me so long to make a card I'd be in business!

I've made 50 of these, and I can't believe I got them finished already! Even the envelopes are addressed!!! I am bound and determined to be ready for the holidays this year! :o)

Front

The front panel image was created using the Scandinavian Christmas Cards Cricut cartridge. I just love this image!!! I used Bazzill crosshatch and smoothies papers (solid white, red, and green) and Pebbles Market Fresh DP (green dotted). It took forever to cut and assemble this image ~ yes, there are 27 little pieces to glue together for each card!! But, it was worth the time it took! I used an MS border punch for the green borders (both inside and on the front), and did a little doodling with a Signo pen for some interest. I used Liquid Pearls to create the pearls on the front, and I glittered the red star in the green dotted circle (difficult to see in the picture).

Inside

The inside of my card is very simple ~ just another green punched and doodled border, along with a heat embossed sentiment using a stamp from the $1 bin at Pat Catan's.

Hope you've enjoyed looking at my 2011 Christmas card!!!
